I am interesting in progressive politics, technology, music (especially experimental rock and metal!), science fiction, interesting movies and books, cats, jazz, etc. And of course, working on paintings, music, beer and all that other good stuff.

About George Bowles

I am an abstract artist with acrylic paint as my medium. I grew up in rural western Illinois and moved to Chicago about 10 years ago, so that dichotomy has had sort of a sublime influence on my art. More directly, I am greatly influenced by listening to interesting music while I paint, as well as the in the moment philosophies of Zen and other alternate modes of thinking. I also am very interested in photography and the possibilities within Photoshop and other digital ways of manipulating reality and/or creating your own. When I have the time, I enjoy recording jams with friends in Social Vortex and working on my electronic music project entitled Sitari.

	Hola George. Nice selection of images. The "Wall Of Sound" cracks me up-some serious volume implied, there! (That 4X10" speakie--urk!) 'Been too busy on an electronic-music-making binge lately to write; but, I moved to the sticks outside of Centerview, Mo, also very close to Warrensburg, basically the town I spent the most time of my childhood in. Cheers
