We've spent a lot of time talking about networking (here here and here) it is the number one way any business will see the light of day, and it doesn't necessarily have to come from "putting yourself out there". Simply informing your friends and family what your up to, and participating in activities regardless of their relation to your business are a great step forward to connecting with people who need your products/services.
To take it further and bring the growth value to you by being here with us on Ekaweeka we've been buried deep in our new group and events sections. The groups sections will bring the hidden networks out there up to the surface where they can get more exposure to people who might share their interests and to folks who could benefit in a relationship with them. The events section lists upcoming festivals, trade-shows, street fairs, art swaps and other activities that all of you may want to attend.
A few groups have already been started including the "GRRRRRL POWER", and "Box Eight" groups. If you hear of an event that other Eksters should hear about, go to your account and add it, if you have a group or know of a local organization that other's could learn from - give to - or may just benefit from knowing of - go to your account and add it. Some of the tools are just becoming available but we're bringing new ones to the event and groups sections daily.
