Making Friends - Notifcations

In a sort of unrelated but nonetheless pertinent development we've sealed the gap in all things friends related. Friend requests, pending friends, accepting friends all these things have been polished off.

  • Pending Requests: You can now not only view people who haven't accepted a request, you can remove the request.
  • Accepting Requests: When you approve a request (or when someone approves your request), a message is now sent to the original user who sent the request confirming that the request has been accepted. As a side note, if you deny the request or remove the request no notice is sent so... there will be no hard feelings (at least not because an rude denial message was sent).
  • Redundant Requests: If you have already sent a request and you try to send another to the same person, a message will remind you so you don't accidentally send two to the same user.
  • Butting Head Requests: If a user has just sent you a request and you send one to them before you've seen theirs; you will now see a message noting that the person you're requesting has already sent you one and therefore another request is not necessary.

We also made a small script to crawl all the present of half created requests and either deleted duplicates or confirmed the confirmed but not completed (for whatever silly reason) requests.

Hopefully - this will be the end to the shenanigans and our developments will smooth out all those connections you guys are making!! Here Here!
