Portrait commissions: ALL types; comic book drawing and writing; regular writing, too; playing bluegrass and old-timey country on my mando and singing; cooking; camping; bicycling; farming and gardening; reading (mainly non-fiction, film history, biographies, archaeology,and 19th-20th-century "difficult" or classic literature); studying old-time newspaper cartooning and comic book history, and other media forms; making video (I had a weekly TV show in SF, CA for 8 yrs); photography; collecting antiques, toys, comics, books, postcards and ephemera; "mining" for old songs in hymnals, sheet music, and records; tedious and time-consuming programming, editing, and production of digital noise and music; filling sketchbooks- which I should ALWAYS be doing MORE of; long walks and hikes; staring out my windows.

I also compose, play mandolin and percussion, and do programming and experimental musics, along with my love of old-timey stuff.I have had long associations playing and composing in the bands: BIG CITY ORCHESTRA (1982-1996), CHOTCHKE ( a bassooncore band ), and my current outfit, NEIGHBORHOOD BASS COALITION.

	Thanks, Drew, for your kind words! I'm glad I checked your next comment before I tried to change my text! giggles Nevertheless, I appreciate your looking out for me. I really love your work too. And I am a big bluegrass fan. I used to a little bluegrass singin years ago. I'm taking a creative break until my 3yr old gets in school and then I plan to really get back into my work. My favorites are portraits, nature/wildlife and painting throw away stuff. It's our way of recycling!!! Take care...
