Each song Cheri sings, be it original or standard, is belted with the smoothness of Nancy Wilson, the huskiness of Phyllis Hyman, and the lows of Sarah Vaughan, in a range that reaches five octaves.
Cheri performed with Bennie Maupin of Head Hunters fame and Reggie Calloway of Midnight Star. Sat in with Roy Ayers. Opened for Nancy Wilson, Phil Perry, Maxi Priest, and Jennifer Lewis. She has performed in Midwestern, Eastern and Southern states. Cheri currently performs in northern and southern California. |
