Art Amsterdam, the leading showcase for contemporary art and previously known as KunstRAI, is more than ever a reflection of the international art world. Some 125 galleries from the Netherlands and abroad are displaying the latest developments in contemporary, international art. In addition to the cream of the Dutch galleries, the number of foreign galleries has risen to 31, mainly from Belgium, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Switzerland, Poland, Korea and the United States.
Art lovers can feast their eyes at Art Amsterdam. For example, the Dutch National Academy of Visual Arts is organising the central exposition entitled ‘Berlin-Amsterdam’, featuring works of former members of the National Academy who are currently living and working in Berlin. The works are being chosen by Erika Hoffman, a top German collector. There will also be a presentation of the latest work of Jeroen Henneman. The solo exhibition has been arranged by Rudi Fuchs.
